Thanks to our team, Career Exploration Month (March), has started off on a high.  On Tuesday, our students were invited to Pfizer headquarters to engage in an intensive career day. They had the opportunity to learn about the varied divisions at Pfizer, to engage in workshops, and to hear an amazing panel.  Pfizer is one of our school’s new partners and it was wonderful to have Ms. Lopez and Mr. Chowdhury join me on this important experience for our students. On Wednesday, Mr. Vanderputten and our Video Production students were invited to Paramount.  This was an amazing learning experience for them.  Thanks to Mr. Vanderputten, Ms. Lopez, and Ms. Kinzer for ensuring our students had an impactful time.

Over the last few weeks, A.D. Serrano and the Physical Education Department have brought many opportunities to our school for our students.  The Community Affairs Division of the NYPD engaged with our students in volleyball games throughout the day and it was a success.  Our Unified Basketball Team, as part of the Special Olympics, is a team in which our ITHS students partner with students from our D75 Kennedy School.  A.D. Serrano has solidified an Adidas sponsorship and all of our students have received adaptive Adidas bags.  In addition, as you know, the Physical Education team and Ms. Kaso brought forth an amazing Yoga event, as part of Heart Health Month, last week. NYPD Community Affairs also came out to support that event. Thanks to all those on our team that came out to support.
